The 2013 Top 40 Richest Footballers List

Barcelona’s superstar Lionel Messi, is rated as the richest footballer in the world with a fortune estimated at £115.5m and the world’s highest paid footballer, earning an estimated £100,000 a day.

Former PSG star, David Beckham topped the 2013 list of the top 50 richest football players in the world with a personal wealth of £175m although he is retired and not currently playing for any pro club. The former Manchester United star and England captain who featured for Paris Saint Germain last season and then retired from football, donated his salary to a local children’s charity.
